So, I received an email from the publisher that I will be getting the proof copy of my book shortly. This is really the last time I get to make any changes before the book is set for release. I am so excited as a first-time author.
The road so far has been very educational. I had no idea there were so many parts to getting a story from creation to publication. It kind of feels like I am on an amusement ride that I can't get off of now. Everything is moving along without me really having any impact at this point. The story, The Hollow, was my baby and I gave birth to that child. I watched it grow and now it's about to leave the nest. It's scary when you think about it. Before now, it was just me and the story, but once it gets out, other people will read it and judge it, and judge me because of what I wrote.
